Using efficient electric appliances and electric vehicles powered by renewable energy is the quickest and most cost-effective way to reduce emissions in our community.

In August 2021, the Office of Sustainability & the Environment launched a rebate program for the replacement of natural gas equipment with efficient all-electric alternatives. Rebates available for single-family residences, multi-family residences and small businesses. Eligible equipment includes heat-pump water heaters, heat-pump HVAC (heating and air conditioning), electric food service equipment, EV chargers, and electric panel upgrades.  Click here for rebate requirements and how to apply.

100% Green Power for All Customers is Here!

Starting in February 2019 for residential customers and May 2019 for non-residential customers, Clean Power Alliance became the new electricity provider for Santa Monica.  Clean Power Alliance purchases clean power and Southern California Edison (SCE) delivers it. SCE will continue to deliver power to your home or business, send one bill, and be responsible for resolving any issues with your electricity service.

Clean Power Alliance is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) made up of 32 public agencies across Los Angeles and Ventura counties working together to bring clean, renewable energy to Southern California.  CPA serves 3 million people and 1 million customer accounts.

Live in 90404 between 20th & Centinela and Colorado & Pico?  Eligible low-income residential electricity customers can now enroll in Power Share and receive up to 20% bill discount, in addition to any discounts offered by the utility's CARE or FERA programs.  Learn more: https://cleanpoweralliance.org/es/powershare/
